The review was published in the April 2015 edition of a magazine called Blue Line – Canada’s Law Enforcement Information Specialists.

Judge Gilles Renaud is firmly of the opinion that the police were correct to charge George Gwaze, given the expert opinions of the doctors managing the case. He says however, that police have a responsibility to read books like this, so that they are better equipped to ask searching questions in future.

“All of us in the administration of justice profit immensely when the work of dedicated writers is read in the correct spirit: that of educating us to avoid past errors.

Dr Goodyear-Smith has written a detailed account of what appears to have gone horribly wrong in this investigation. Ignore this valuable advice at your peril.”
